Welcome! This blog was originally anonymous, but I’d now like to put a name to a digital face. I’m Colleen W, and I live in Madison, Wisconsin with my husband Nick and daughter Lauren. Madison is a great place for a kid to grow up, with many things to do, and we enjoy showing it to Lauren. I feel it’s important to document parts of Lauren’s life for many reasons. The most important: having a daughter is my destiny because I didn’t get to be a complete daughter to my own mother, who passed away in 1997. Also, I feel “mom guilt” on a daily basis. (A wise person once said something to the effect of, “Men always think they’re doing a great job. Women always think they have more to learn.” So true!) I can’t stay home with Lauren for financial reasons, but I work with Nick as a united front to do the best we can, day by day. Read on to join us.
